About Us
George Sweeting started in the trade at 15, learning roofing alongside his father. It was hands-on from day one — no shortcuts, no classroom, just real work on real roofs.
The turning point came when George's mother was diagnosed with cancer. He built her a full extension himself — learning structural works, project management and finishing to a standard he could be proud of. It was personal. It mattered. And it shaped everything that followed.
From there George took on refurbishment contracts for Croydon and Tandridge councils, building the experience and reputation that would become Taylor Made Builds Ltd. Over time the work grew from roofing into extensions, full renovations, kitchens, bathrooms and complete property refurbishments — everything under one roof, managed by one person you can trust.
The name Taylor Made Builds means more than quality — it was chosen for George's son Taylor, who is already part of the business. This company is being built for the future, with family at its foundation.
Every project comes with a fully branded tender pack, clear payment schedule and the same hands-on commitment George brought to that first extension for his mum. No jargon, no hidden surprises — just honest communication from first contact to handover.
